7.4V 1150mAh 2S LiPo Battery 40C JST
• Specifications: 54 × 29 × 18mm / 2.10 × 1.14 × 0.69in; 52g / 1.83oz; 1150mAh; 7.4V (2S LiPo); 40C burst / 20C continuous discharge; JST plug.
• Designed for JST-Connector RC Crawler Cars: This 2S 1150mAh LiPo battery delivers 40C burst (~46A peak) and 20C continuous (~23A sustained) discharge for 1/24 and 1/18-scale RC rock crawlers, buggies, and toy-grade 4WD trucks that use a 7.4V (2S) LiPo pack with a JST connector. Handles aggressive climbs, rock crawling, and full-throttle on sand or gravel without voltage sag.
• Compatible Models: RC crawler cars and trucks with a JST battery plug and a battery bay fitting 54 × 29 × 18mm, including popular models such as A949, A959, and other 1/18-scale RC trucks. Verify voltage (7.4V), bay dimensions, and plug type before ordering.
⚠️ Before Ordering — Verify 2 Things:
• 1) Your RC car's battery bay fits 54 × 29 × 18mm (including JST plug clearance).
• 2) The battery plug is JST (two-pin, standard JST housing). This pack is NOT compatible with AXIAL SCX24 (which uses a PH2.0 plug) or any vehicle with XT30, PH2.54, or other connector types.
• Package: 2× 2S 1150mAh 7.4V 40C LiPo batteries (JST plug), 1× USB charger cable, 1× retail carton, 1× user manual.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this battery compatible with my RC crawler or truck?
Yes, if your vehicle uses a 7.4V (2S) LiPo battery with a JST connector and the battery bay fits 54 × 29 × 18mm. Specifically designed for 1/24 and 1/18-scale RC rock crawlers, buggies, and toy-grade 4WD trucks, including popular models such as A949, A959, and similar JST-plug crawlers. Verify voltage, bay dimensions, and plug type before ordering.
Is this battery compatible with the AXIAL SCX24?
No. The AXIAL SCX24 uses a PH2.0 connector, not a JST plug. Even though the voltage (7.4V), capacity (1150mAh), and dimensions are identical, the plug pitch and housing shape are different. For the AXIAL SCX24, order our 2S 1150mAh PH2.0 version instead.
What is a JST plug? How is it different from PH2.0, XT30, or PH2.54?
The JST plug on this pack is a two-pin connector with a standard JST housing. It is NOT interchangeable with PH2.0 (2.0mm pin pitch, narrower housing), PH2.54 (wider pin pitch), XT30 (different housing shape), or any other plug type. The easiest way to tell: remove the stock battery from your car, look at the plug’s two-pin spacing and housing shape, and match it to the plug on this pack before ordering.
What does 40C burst / 20C continuous mean for this battery?
40C burst means the pack can safely deliver approximately 46A for short durations (3–5 seconds) during aggressive climbs or full-throttle bursts. 20C continuous means it safely sustains approximately 23A during normal crawling and driving. For 1/24 and 1/18-scale toy-grade RC cars, this comfortably covers the draw of typical 7.4V ESCs and motors.
How do I charge this battery?
This pack includes a USB charger cable. Plug one end into a USB power source (wall adapter, power bank, or PC USB port rated 5V / 1A minimum) and the other into the car’s charging port or directly into the battery’s JST plug. Full charge at 1C (~1.15A) takes approximately 60 minutes. Do not leave unattended while charging.
Can I charge this with a LiPo balance charger instead of the USB cable?
This is a 2S toy-grade LiPo pack with a JST plug, not a balance-lead LiPo battery. It is designed to be charged via the included USB charger cable. A standard 2S LiPo balance charger (with JST-XH or XT60 leads) will not fit the JST connector on this pack. Stick with the included USB charging method.
How many charge cycles can I expect?
Under normal use with proper practices (avoid deep discharge below 6.0V, store at 40–60% charge), expect up to 200 cycles before noticeable capacity fade. For daily toy use, this translates to roughly 6–12 months of regular play. If your pack is still holding charge past 150 cycles, it is performing within spec.
How long does the battery last per charge during actual driving?
A 1150mAh 2S pack at 20C continuous (~23A) will last roughly 5–15 minutes of mixed driving depending on terrain, motor load, and throttle usage. On flat ground with moderate throttle, expect the longer end; on continuous rock crawling, sand driving, or full-throttle on inclines, expect the shorter end. If the pack drains in under 3 minutes consistently, contact us for a warranty check.
Is it safe to leave the battery in the car when not in use?
For short periods (same day), yes. For overnight or longer storage, remove the battery from the car and store it at 40–60% charge in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not store fully charged or fully drained for extended periods — both accelerate capacity fade.
