Frequently Asked Questions

What drone platforms is this 22.2V 8000mAh battery suitable for?

This battery fits medium-size 6S industrial and FPV drone frames with a battery bay of at least 170 × 50 × 50mm. Common fits include 7"–10" class hexacopter and octocopter builds used for agricultural spraying, mapping, inspection, and medium-payload cinematography. The XT60 plug connects directly to standard 6S ESCs — no adapter needed.

What does 25C mean in practical terms? Can it handle my drone’s power draw?

For a typical 8000mAh 6S build with 2,500–4,000KV motors and a 60–120A ESC, this covers cruise and moderate throttle with margin to spare. If your platform draws sustained peaks above 200A (e.g., 10"+ quad with high-KV motors in aggressive FPV use), you may want a higher-C pack.

How is this different from the 22.8V or 23.1V HV / Ultra-HV batteries in your lineup?

This is a standard 6S pack — 3.7V per cell, 22.2V nominal, 25.2V full charge. It works with any standard 6S LiPo charger and standard 6S ESCs. No special hardware required.

The 22.8V HV pack (3.8V/cell) and the 23.1V Ultra-HV pack (3.85V/cell) operate at a higher cell voltage, which delivers slightly more energy per cell. However, they require matching HV or Ultra-HV chargers and ESCs — a standard 6S charger will overcharge them, and a standard 6S ESC may not handle the higher voltage correctly.

In short: if your drone is already set up for standard 6S (which most are), this 22.2V pack is the one you want. The HV and Ultra-HV packs are for builds specifically designed around those higher cell voltages.

What charger should I use, and what are the recommended charge settings?

Use a 6S LiPo charger (25.2V max output). Recommended settings:

  • Charge rate: 1C (8A) for daily use; 2C (16A) maximum for turnaround
  • Balance voltage: 4.20V/cell (standard)
  • Discharge voltage (if supported): 3.30V/cell minimum

How long will it last in flight?

With a 177.6Wh pack, typical endurance on a medium-size 6S industrial platform (e.g., 7"–8" hexacopter, 3–5kg AUW including payload) is approximately20–35 minutesdepending on prop size, motor efficiency, payload weight, and throttle usage. A light 2kg survey build will trend toward the upper end; a 5kg+ spraying build will trend toward the lower end. Actual flight time varies with conditions — treat these as estimates, not guarantees.

What’s in the box? Is the XT60 plug soldered on or replaceable?

Package contents: 1× PCEONAMP 22.2V 8000mAh 6S LiPo battery with XT60 plug pre-soldered, 1× JST-XH 7-pin balance lead.

The XT60 plug is factory-soldered to 10AWG silicone leads. If you prefer a different connector (XT90S, Anderson, etc.), you can cut the plug and re-solder — 10AWG gauge is sufficient up to ~100A sustained. If you’re not comfortable soldering, stick with XT60 and use an adapter on the ESC side.
